What we collect
When you submit the assessment request form, we collect:
- Your name
- Phone number
- ZIP code or Marin town
- Urgency / timing of your care need
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your form-submission details (name, phone, ZIP, care need) with advertising networks or data brokers. We use standard web-marketing tools to measure and improve our advertising: site analytics (e.g., Cloudflare Web Analytics or Google Analytics), conversion tracking (e.g., Google Ads conversion pixels), and advertising retargeting (you may see a Marin Care Guide ad on another site for a short period after visiting us). These tools use anonymous identifiers at the browser level and do not transmit your form submission.
Why we collect it
Solely to connect you with our partner agency for a free in-home assessment. Our partner will call within one business day to understand your situation and schedule the assessment if appropriate.
Who we share it with
- Formspree, our form-handling service, which stores a copy per their privacy policy.
- Our primary Marin home care partner — see About for our full editorial disclosure on how we make referrals. We will tell you the name of the agency before any referral is made.
- A different provider, or occasionally more than one provider if we determine another agency is a better fit for your needs, if you ask for referrals to more than one provider, or if we cannot match you with a primary partner in your area. You will be told the specific agency or agencies before any referral is made.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketing lists or advertising networks. Our default practice is to refer your inquiry to a single provider — when multi-provider referrals are warranted, we will tell you the specific agencies before any referral is made.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are retained for two years for follow-up and service quality purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under California law (CCPA) and applicable regulations, you can:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of any future marketing (we do not currently do any)
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
Children's data
We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18. Home care services are arranged for adults, generally by adult family members.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in a new "Last updated" date at the top.
